(1) New or overhauled diesel engines must undergo strict running in tests before they can be officially put into operation.
(2) Regular inspection and maintenance of air filters, oil filters, and diesel filters to ensure they are in good technical condition is an important measure to prevent dust and impurities from entering the cylinder through the air, fuel, and oil channels, reduce cylinder wear, and extend the service life of the engine.
(3) Regularly replace the oil pan oil, and the added oil must meet the requirements of the manual. When replacing the oil pan oil, the oil pan and lubricating oil circuit should be carefully cleaned. The method is to first drain all the spoiled oil, pour the same amount of clean diesel into the oil pan, start the engine, idle for 3-5 minutes, drain all the clean diesel, then wipe the oil pan clean, clean the oil filter at the same time, and finally add the specified amount of oil.
(4) It is strictly prohibited to start before adding water, otherwise it may cause sudden cooling and cracking of the cylinder.
(5) Regularly maintain the normal operating temperature of the engine. If it is too high, the engine oil will dilute and the lubrication conditions will deteriorate; If it is too low, acidic corrosion will occur, causing pitting and peeling. The generally suitable working temperature is 70-80 ℃, and evaporative engines can be slightly higher.
